Is hiring an Event Planner worth it?

When should I contact an event planner?
Scheduling private and corporate events depends on the number of guests attending and the complexity of the event.
Event Type Guests Prior to Event Find a Planner
Private/Corporate Under 100 6-4 months 8 months
Private/Corporate Over 100 9–6 months 11 months
Corporate Holiday* 100+ 12 months 14 months
*Securing the venue for a corporate holiday party may require starting a year in advance.
What do you do and what do I do?
Monika’s Good Times Events is your event planning coach. We can do as much or as little as you need. Ask about our services. We offer full event planning to day-of onsite service, or a la carte services: You’ve Been Swagged Bag, décor, etc. Our goal is to help you host a memorable celebration and enjoy it too!
Do I have to use only your vendors?
Not at all, we can work with vendors you choose. However, Monika’s Good Times Events has established long-term relationships with proven vendors who provide professional services at reasonable rates. Monika’s Good Times Events never accepts kickbacks or finder’s fees to work with specific vendors. If a vendor offers a discount, that savings is always passed onto you.
Can you get me discounts on the items I need for my event?
Monika doesn’t sell or offer discounts on stationery, gifts, etc. and here’s why… when planners do that, it’s often because they sell those items and get a cut. Monika’s Good Times Events does the bargain hunting for you to get the best price on your event items.
What is your policy on last-minute changes or emergencies? Cancellations?
We will always make a good-faith effort to resolve any issues that may arise with last-minute changes or emergencies. That being said, cancellations will forfeit your deposit and you may still be liable for your contract payment in full, depending on the cancellation date.
What kinds of payment do you accept?
We accept personal checks, business checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal.
